Lexmark Z55 / Dex 5500 (dettagliato)

Ciao a tutti,
su una deb 2.2, e lo stesso su una 3 
ho provato ad installare i driver per la suddetta stampante, seguendo il
mini-HOWTO:

non funziona (ma da w** si),

errori rilevati:

-la procedura non avviene come dichiarato nell'howto
allora ho installato i driver su una RH8.2 (stampa ma molto piano, 30
sec per due righe .txt)
e copiato di sana pianta tutti i file (spero)

adesso da' questi errori:
in /var/spool/lpd/lexmark/status.lp:

da notare che il driver è chiamato con i seguenti parametri:
