Poi ti rilogghi e lo cancelli, per maggiori dettagli less
/etc/init.d/checkroot.sh

Cmq se hai dubbi sul "lato fisico" dovresti fare un controllo con
badblocks, credo che se avvii da un cd di woody e apri una shell hai
badblocks
