hai cercato "log" dentro /etc/efax.rc (in partricolare VERBLOG
e LOGDIR)? Hai cercato "SESSION LOG" dentro "man efax"?
Al limite, dovrebbe esserci modo di lanciare efax a mano e vedere
i messaggi direttamente sullo standard error/output
