OT [Zebedee-talk] speak freely over zebedee (fwd)
Cari tutti, ho ricevuto alcune richieste per postare il metodino per usare
speakfreely sopra zebedee.
Vi allego cio' che ho postato sotto Natale sulla lista di zebedee. il
metodo funziona bene sotto windozz. Sotto linux (potato) ho notato qualche
problema, ma so che ora c'e' fuori la nuova versione di zebedee e
probabilmente l'autore avra' corretto qualcosa. Il problema sotto linux
era che talvolta non si riusciva a fare il tunnell 9000->2074 (quello
della voce, ma solo quello 9001->2075 (quello del talk testuale).
Se qualcuno vuole provare, per favore mandate eventuali risoluzioni di
problemi sulla lista di speakfreely o su quella di zebedee.

negli esempi sotto ho VOLUTAMENTE tolto la compressione (-z0) da zebedee
cosi' il pc di mia moglie (vecchiotto) faceva meno fatica...

ricordate che se la persona dietro al FW puo' usare in uscita solo una
porta (che so la 22 talvolta e' aperta) potete dire a zebedee di mandare
TUTTO il traffico su quella porta. riciao.

Maybe that those who responded to my call for help are interested to know
whether it worked: well, yes!
The problem was that my wife's computer is behind a firewall on a private
network and they use masquerading to send packets to the internet.
We wanted to talk using the well known speak freely program.
That's what we did:
On my wife's computer:
zebedee -s -u -z0 -cxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (my computer's IP)
On my computer:
zebedee -l -u -z0 9000,9001:*:2074,2075
As she can only BEGIN a connection she is forced to use zebedee's reverse
mode.
Finally, she simply connected to my computer. I connected to MY COMPUTER
on port 9000 and the communication was tunnelled to her computer on port
2074 (standard speak freely receiving UDP port). Text chat was tunnelled
from udp 9001 (on my computer) to 2075 (on hers).
Hope that this is useful for some other newbies like me (and my wife)! I
thank the author of zebedee for letting us using such a useful program for
free!
