Metacity e themes

Ho provato ad installare Metacity, e continuo ad avere problemi con i
themes tipo Aqua, ed in generale con tutti i themese che usano la
funzione tipo rounded_qualcosa, esempio:

farnis@eric:~$ metacity-theme-viewer Aqua     
Error loading theme: Line 21 character 1: Attribute "rounded_top_left"
is invalid on <frame_geometry> element in this context

Su irc mi han detto che probabilmente ho delle librerie vecchie. Quali?

Poi volevo chiedere un riferimento generale di base per inziare a capire
come funzionano i file xml. Sembra un html un po' più evoluto, ma non ho
idea di dove sbattere la testa...
