Beep insopportabile

Ok, forse è una strafaq, ma guardando il Config-HOWTO per eliminare il
Beep nella Bash ho visto che:

set bell-style visual # please don't beep

bell-style (audible)
      Controls what happens when readline wants to ring the terminal
      bell. If set to *none*, readline never rings the bell. If set to
      *visible*, readline uses a visible bell if one is available. If set
      to *audible*, readline attempts to ring the terminal's bell.

io non voglio nè il beep nè il visual...allora ho impostato il tutto su
*none*, ma niente, no funge. Ho provato anche con *Off*, *off* ma
niente.

Non ditemi di abbassare il volume :)
