SB live & modem PCI



Salve,
dopo tanti tentativi andati male mi sono deciso di scrivere alla lista
per chiedere aiuto. Ho installato Progeny Debian su due macchine
differenti. In una sono riuscito ad installare la sound blaster
incorporata nella scheda madre e a configurare correttamente il modem
esterno riconfigurando e ricompilando opportunamente il kernel. Tutto
funziona perfettamente.
Nella seconda dove ho installato una SB Live, ho riconfigurato il kernel
come descritto nel file emu10k1-20010408.tar scaricato direttamente
dalla Creative. Al boot mi viene segnalato un conflitto di interrupt
(vedi dmesg.txt) e di conseguenza il daemon esd non parte. Nella stessa
macchina ho installato un modem interno PCI (vedi lspci.txt) sulla ttyS2
che nonstante  sia stato aggiunto al file /etc/serial.conf non viene
riconosciuto con il commando wvdialconf. Risultato: non riesco a far
funzionare ne la SB Live ne il modem interno. Non mi sono serviti i vari
hwo-to sugli argomenti. Qualche consiglio?

Sorry, no modem was detected!  Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?
