Hi,all
I am just testing about SNMP on my Debian 6.0 system I had installed and update almost every SNMP package relevant, but I failed to test SNMP. I lookuped some webpages and I
found some SNMP command didn't worked, for example:
# snmpget -v 2c -c public localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0
iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 = STRING: "Linux localhost 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Wed Jan 12 04:01:41 UTC 2011 i686"
It's OK!
# snmptranslate 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0
iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0
I don't know if the result is normal? Which is not the same as what I had
seen on some material.
# snmptranslate -On SNMPv2-MIB::system.sysUpTime.0
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging
MIB search path: /root/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/mibs/site:/usr/share/snmp/mibs:/usr/share/mibs/iana:/usr/share/mibs/ietf:/usr/share/mibs/netsnmp
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-MIB): At line 0 in (none)
SNMPv2-MIB::system.sysUpTime.0: Unknown Object Identifier
I don't know why the SNMPv2-MIB is gone? or netsnmp have changed the SNMP module definition? 2011-03-30
