Boot the system. Log in as root, and issue the command $ update-grub This should regenerate the boot menu and its configuration. If this wouldn't work, Repeat the login as root, and try the following: $ dpkg-reconfigure grub-pcIf it is not working with this method either, post the grub configuration files here or on pastebin.
