Not exactly *perfectly*. That filter has the effect of making NSS "forget" or "overlook" that user existed. This has the strange(?) side effect of making it so that anything owned by "non-existent" users shows up either as being owned by a numeric ID (for locally attached storage) or as nobody (for NFS mounts).
