I need to install tripwire on a server that doesn't need a pre- packagedMTA (there is a custom compiled MTA on that host). "apt-get installtripwire" wants to install all sorts of stuff, how do I inform apt thatthere is already an MTA installed?
Create a dummy debian package which provides mail-transport-agent, and then dpkg -i your dummy package. Tripwire will install just fine then.
