Filesystem Caching with Linux 2.6

Dear List

I was wondering if anyone knows of any settings to control caching under Linux 2.6

The output below is from one of my web servers that ONLY delivers static content.

I have a lot of 'free' memory on this box - Is there anyway I can improve the file
system caching?

procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- ----cpu---- r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa 0 1 0 1646656 405900 1295528 0 0 305 51 3218 988 3 3 72 21 0 1 0 1647184 405396 1295624 0 0 266 0 3276 984 3 4 73 21 0 0 0 1645816 406004 1296444 0 0 241 11 3274 1233 3 4 76 17 0 0 0 1647528 404984 1295764 0 0 196 0 3184 1366 3 4 81 12 0 1 0 1645928 405604 1296708 0 0 279 6 3328 1102 3 4 72 21

Any comments appreciated...

Thanks
