good to know things improve while you're not paying attention.

i've been editing things that like for years rather than deleting them
because once upon a time, you had to.



i'll still keep on doing it, though...i like to leave a visible record
of what i've done on the system. editing it to add 'exit 0' (and a
date-stamped comment) leaves a clear indication that the change was
intentional, and that the file wasn't just deleted accidentally.
