Yo! Every now and then, postfix starts up badly: Feb 11 02:31:44 zbasel postfix/smtp[22021]: fatal: open database /var/cache/postfix/smtp_tlscache.pag: No such file or directory Feb 11 02:31:45 zbasel postfix/master[22007]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtp pid 22021 exit status 1 Feb 11 02:31:45 zbasel postfix/master[22007]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/smtp: bad command startup -- throttling postfix from testing, pretty normal TLS set up AFAICT; the server is under very light load only (1-3 mails/min) so that shouldn't be a problem. I stop postfix during backup to get a consistent backup of the queue directories, and so far I have only seen this problem occur on the first smtp process started after postfix startup. But from what I can see, postfix then goes on and uses TLS, so the problem seems to be transient. Any ideas? greetings -- vbi -- featured product: the GNU Compiler Collection - http://gcc.gnu.org
