kernel compiler?

Hi all,
I have DL380 with Intel 2 Single Core, But I need replace the single core
for 1 Dual Core module, the question is: Have I that to recompile the
kernel? Or isn´t necessary for the Kernel, because 2 SC equal a 1 DC ?
