several different servers here.
Maybe it with the hot-swap-backplanes but they're "ATA-ready".

Maxtor, Samsung and so on.

The kernel is not that old: 2.6.8-2-686-smp

No, the 7006-2 is 99% of all cases.

Well those errors don't occur on all systems and all the time but
sporadically.

Any other ideas ?? :-(
