postfix & slow content_filter

Hello,

  I am using postfix 2.1 on sarge and have sagator as content filter
  (smtp2:[127.0.0.1]:27). It runs SA and bdc antivirus. When server
  load increases, it isn't fast enough and postfix defers mail with
  this error: connect to 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1]: read timeout

  My question is how to tell postfix to try sending mail to content
  filter more often - because now it acts as any other deferred mail -
  next try only after minimal_backoff_time.
