Re: load increase after 2.4 -> 2.6 upgrade



No, sorry, just ran it one-shot. If I run it for a few seconds, it looks like so (ranges):

procs -------
r     b
0-2   5-12

What's different about I/O in 2.6 that a 2.4 kernel would outperform it under the same work volume?

lines...

If that 'b' is right, there is your load.  A lot of processes getting
blocked waiting for IO.
