This shouldn't be a problem at all.. If you install a core Debian, use 
'advanced' setup mode then simply [Q]uit dselect, you will have disk 
usage of about 80Mb - plenty of space for some extra modules / software 
:)

Indeed, by shaving unused binaries from /usr/bin, etc. you can create 
even more room to manoevure..
