Re: RaiD experience



I've used both Adaptec and Mylex. You may want to look at Promise Technology -- they have an IDE raid card.

All the raid cards that I've messed with work basically the same. The card has it's own processor and programming. Usually there is a program that tells the OS what is going on but it isn't required.

Linux has added RAID support but I haven't used it.
