The problem is that you start getting into cryptic usernames that you have
to decipher. "Jeremy A. Lanzarotta" can become "lanzatja". There is just a
very limited usuable space in 8 chars that you can have usernames and have
them make sense. Beyond that it becomes like having two passwords instead
of one username and one password. :) e4uf09ka@debian.org I think upping
everything out there to 12 chars would be a good idea.
