Problem with an et/5025 8bit
Folks,
I am running Linux 2.0.34, on i386. I have a Emerging Technologies 5025
card, bought a couple of months ago, which has been running quite well,
and has replaced the CISCO 2501 we used to have. This a sync card which
connects to the interface given by our ISP. A pointer to my experiences:

Since last Monday, I have been seeing erratically low speeds on the
interface. The problem seemed more outbound-limiting, than inbound. In
particular, outgoing mail kept piling up. Incoming mail seems OK.
I have been testing the interface, and today noticed something strange in
the mail logs. Afetr connecting to the recipient host, and starting DATA,
the remote host send a "Timeout, closing connection" or similar message.
This seems to happen after 49128 bytes most often.
And today, after pumping raw data through it (using spray and netcat), I
see the same problem. Timeouts after 49152 bytes.
I am at my wits end. A problem with the card? Interupts on the card are
rising OK. I have pulled it out and plugged it into another slot, but ;-(
Help?
