wouldn't make too much sense. you could comment out every sanity check
then, to what avail ?

well, i don't know this one. i'm building this stuff on a slink box.

as i understand, this is not a debian-specific problem, this goes this
way from upstream. i've never used suexec myself (i was just curious
reading your letter), but if i get this whole thing right, and 
if suexec.c has been looking like this, then the setup
you wrote in (and i did in my imaginary setup) should never have
worked.

ps. am i getting throu to the list ? this is not the address i'm
subscribed with and i don't see my posts..
