Hello for all!!!
Thats my first message!
I have a Debian 2.1 and everything is configured...
but remains one, internet. I \"CANT\" connect in to internet.
Im connect, but when i try to ping an address (such like 200.215.160.6, my DNS),
the ping hang, dont show any message about 2 minutes, after this, the ping stop
with a message: Network is unreacheable. When i exec route, it hangs too...
after 2 minutes, the route shows the routing table (including the default
route), but only the addresses, but none name. The only address that i can ping
are: my ppp IP and im self(my internal IP and the LoopBack). I have a Ip
Firewalling and a ethernet card working just fine...
And another things are configured as told the NET HowTo... DNS and another
things.
But now i have the more strange case in this problem:
when you connect to an ISP, a modem will answer. Right?
And a terminal will be open to you log on the ISP. Right?
Well, at my ISP, have two termials, one is: 3COM Total Network Arc Control and
the other is: *** Ascend TNT Terminal Server ***.
Im can connect in to Internet on the first terminal, but on the second terminal,
EVERYTHING IS UNREACHEABLE (as described above). And the my provider are
changing (or had changed) all modens... in another words, the second terminal
its the only terminal to i log on!! and i cant connect to internet never more
at my Linux!!!
I will be wait an answer...
CYA.
And im sorry by my english mistakes!
