NFS and RPC over IPv6
I see from various places that libtirpc is the answer to making RPC
services run over IPv6. I'm interested in showmount and rpcinfo.
I am in the process of reworking my SOHO network, and I won't be giving
v4 addresses to a number of new (virtual) machines on their backends. I
wanted to just let that LAN be IPv6 only. (I don't run NAT anywhere)
I was surprised that the RPC stuff didn't work over IPv6.
The NetBSD RPC code has done IPv6 for a long time, so I don't quite know
why we don't just important that code.
I realize that there might still be issues in the kernel with IPv6, but
I need showmount and friends to work as well, because I used autofs.
Can someone point me to a plan that I can contribute to?
