Does this kernel by any chance have the USAGI patches applied? I'm running cyrus21-imapd for a while on an IPv6 machine without any problems (and providing service to both IPv4 and IPv6). What does "cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/bindv6only" tell you? Does it help to set this variable to 0 before starting cyrmaster?
No there are no USAGI patches applied. And /proc/sys/net/ipv6/bindv6only is 0. The interesting point about it is, that several other services (postfix, ssh, apache2) are bound only to IPv6 and work just fine on both IPv6 and IPv4. Just when trying to connect to port 993 or 143 I get 'Connection refused'.
