Which address of machine C have you tried?

Try to run tcpdump on machine C while pinging from one of the others.
neighbour discovery in ipv6 is done with multicast questions, perhaps the
nick of that machine is not correctly subscribing to the right multicast
group? In that case it might help if you put the interface of C in promisc mode.
