weirdness with ipv6 routing

I have a strange problem with my ipv6 setup at home. The basic setup
is simple: I have a /64 range that gets routed to me through a
tunnel. From the gateway ipv6 connections work normally.

However from my other machines I can only reach outside machines
if I have a connection open to them from my gateway, and a few
seconds after I close the connection on the gateway all connections
from other machines will stop as well. A ping6 demonstrates this
nicely:

At (1) I started a ping6 from thunder (which is my gateway), and at (2)
I stopped the ping6 there. Does anyone have any clue what the problem
might be here?
