Thanks for the reference.

I pointed this out to Felix von Leitner <leitner@fefe.de> (private
E-Mail), but he seems to think that:

a) I can't read the RFCs.
b) that the USAGI patch is wrong, and breaks the RFCs.
c) that the Linux API is still very immature (I won't argue here).

I wouldn't worry too much though, as I can't see any evidence that he
read any of the links I showed him...

Since he has mailed my privately though, I don't want to copy his
arguments here, so will ignore him unless he E-Mails in a public
forum.
