Bug#1007123: ITP: keyman/15.0.211-2 -- Type in your language with Keyman for Linux (consolidated source package)

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-input-method@lists.debian.org

Hi,

I'm not sure what the process is - someone suggested I should submit a ITP bug for the consolidated source package.

Here's the deal:

Up until now the upstream Keyman project (https://github.com/keymanapp/keyman) created three source packages from one git repo:

(it also created three additional source packages for the older KMFL (kmflcomp, libkmfl, and ibus-kmfl), but those are no longer actively developed and won't be included in future releases)

Starting with Keyman 15 the three source packages got consolidate into one source package named keyman that builds the binary packages listed above.

I'm not sure if this is considered a new package that needs to go through the entire workflow for a new package, or if that's simply considered the successor of the three older source packages. Please advice.

Anyways, I uploaded the new source package to mentors.debian.net.

* Package name : keyman
Version : 15.0.211-2
Upstream Author : Keyman team <support@keyman.com>
* URL : https://www.keyman.com
* License : GPL-3+, MIT, GPL-2+ or MIT, GPL-2+
* Vcs : https://github.com/keymanapp/keyman
Section : text

It builds those binary packages:

keyman - Type in your language with Keyman for Linux
python3-keyman-config - Keyman for Linux configuration
libkmnkbp-dev - Development files for Keyman keyboard processing library
libkmnkbp0-0 - Keyman keyboard processing library
ibus-keyman - Keyman engine for IBus

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/keyman/keyman_15.0.211-2.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

keyman (15.0.211-2) experimental; urgency=medium
.
* Consolidate source packages
* New upstream release
* Re-release to Debian

Thanks,
    Eberhard
