Hi Gabo,
The ia64 port will only work on Intel Itanium processors. It sounds
like you have a core 2, which is not the same. I suspect you want the
AMD64 port, which also covers the Intel EM64T extension used on the
newer Intel 64bit CPUs. The port is based here:
