Hello, I currently run gentoo amd64 on my acer aspire 5002wlmi. However, I prefer debian (especially because gentoo makes such a sloppy distinction of free and non-free software so that I might accidently use non-free software). Now I wonder, is the ia64 port a development thing or is it as stable as I could expect from sarge on i386? Could I even use debian installer and have everything almost automatically set up?
