unhealthy xserver-xfree86 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5

I did a dist-upgrade yesterday on Debian/unstable and found that the X
server didn't work at all.  It appeared to get stuck in an (endless?)
recursion doing the zx1 bus configury magic.  This was with an ATI
graphics card, but it wouldn't surprise me if all cards are affected.

Downgrading to the Debian/testing version (4.3.0dfsg.1-4) fixed the
problem.

Can someone confirm this issue?
