Compilation problem

Hello all,

I turn debian on a machine ia64 of Bull.
I have just downloaded the sources of:
Berkeley dB 4.2.52 since the site of sleepycat and
openldap-2.2.11 since the site openldap.
Then I compile them, without problems apparent. When I launch slapadd, I
obtain the following errors:
slapadd: relocation error: slapadd: undefined symbol: db_version

ldd slapadd give :
        libdb-4.2.so => /usr/lib/libdb-4.2.so (0x200000000004c000)
        libresolv.so.2 => /lib/libresolv.so.2 (0x200000000022c000)
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x2000000000260000)
        libc.so.6.1 => /lib/libc.so.6.1 (0x2000000000310000)
        /lib/ld-linux-ia64.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux-ia64.so.2

Any idee are welcome
