Hey ia64 folks, please give it a look. liblocale-gettext-perl is
an important part, it's used by several very common perl apps (adduser,
debconf, ...) and segfaults are not cool.
I can reproduce the segfault on merulo (with a locally compiled
Locale::gettext) with a simple commande like :
perl -I blib/arch -I blib/lib -MLocale::gettext -MPOSIX -e 'print gettext("hello");'
Here's a gdb backtrace :
#0 0x20000000004141b1 in strlen () from /lib/libc.so.6.1
#1 0x2000000000170dc0 in Perl_sv_setpv () from /usr/lib/libperl.so.5.6
But it's not very helpful either ... I can do nothing more. I'm ccing
also the perl maintainer, he may have heard of similar problems on
ia64...
Cheers,
