Validation / Tidy validation mails from the Debian website
Hello website and internationalization friends,
as you may know, there is a regular job in the Debian web server
checking validation in the built html pages. Results can be seen here:
https://www-master.debian.org/build-logs/
The logs are also sent via mail to certain recipients per language, who
are listed here:
https://salsa.debian.org/webmaster-team/webwml/-/blob/master/english/devel/website/validation.data
If you are one of the recipients of those mails, please note that I have
just committed changes that will change the subjects from now on:
Old subjects: "Validation failed" or "Tidy validation failed"
New subjects: "Validation failed for the language code XX" or "Tidy
validation failed for the language code XX"
(For the case you have a rule to process such mails based on subject).
On the other hand, your language team may want to review the recipients
listed for your language in
https://salsa.debian.org/webmaster-team/webwml/-/blob/master/english/devel/website/validation.data
to update accordingly. If you have no commit permissions in the website
please send a mail to debian-www@lists.debian.org CC'ing your language
team and we'll handle it.
The validation scripts have much room for improvement and any help is
welcome. Some of the issues are already filed as bugs and you can find
them here:
https://udd.debian.org/cgi-bin/bts-usertags.cgi?user=www.debian.org@packages.debian.org&tag=scripts
or
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=www.debian.org;dist=unstable#_0_2_3
And the source code:

Kind regards,
