Sorry but I am 100% new to > Debian translations... :) Once your translation is ready (and proofread by the -italian team) run "reportbug", use "wishlist", the name of the package and so on and as (short) description "[INTL:it] Initial Italian debconf translation" (or updated, in case there was one already), and in the long description something like: Please include the Italian Debconf translation in your next upload as debian/po/it.po. In case the translation becomes outdated (because the template was updated) please contact me (using podebconf-report-po) so that I can update the translation. There might be additional procedures / advice in your italian language team, but this covers the basics. In case Christian does an NMU, he will watch/scan the page and include all translations, otherwise the maintainer can pick it up and include it in his next upload.
