Once your translation is ready (and proofread by the -italian team)
run "reportbug", use "wishlist", the name of the package and so on and
as (short) description "[INTL:it] Initial Italian debconf translation"
(or updated, in case there was one already), and in the long
description something like:

Please include the Italian Debconf translation in your next upload as
debian/po/it.po.

In case the translation becomes outdated (because the template was
updated) please contact me (using podebconf-report-po) so that I can
update the translation.

There might be additional procedures / advice in your italian language
team, but this covers the basics. In case Christian does an NMU, he
will watch/scan the page and include all translations, otherwise the
maintainer can pick it up and include it in his next upload.

Greetings

            Helge
