There exists a perl script in GNOME cvs that automatically fills msgstr
from msgid, making British spelling correction when necessary, and
ask users when ambiguity arises. The only downside is it fails to
handle msgid_plural, otherwise it works great. If you need it, I can
attach the script to debian-i18n.
