Bug#305059: linda: Very confusing and unpractical i18n
Package: linda
Version: 0.3.13
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n
The internationalisation of linda puts some generic markers as msgids in
po/linda.pot for several strings.
This makes the software very unpractical to translate because it needs the
English "translation" besides the translation file being worked on.
This makes the translators work very difficult and certainly explains why
linda is currently translated in very few languages.
Please consider using a more common method for i18n and put the real English
messages in the code, or at least find a way to build a fake POT file with
real messages as msgids.
