Congrats.

A couple feedback items from an install....

  1. The installer uses ext2.
  2. /hurd/random: failed to read random seed file
  3. Xcfe desktop has some gaps

Regarding (1), ext2 seems a bit unusual in 2019, but it may be a
design decision. It may be worth noting ext4 is a journaled file
system and ext2 is not.

Regarding (2), will this affect my SSH machine keys? Will I be in weak
key territory?

Regarding (3), Hurd still hangs around when attempting to get a DHCP
address. This problem was present in the last version of Hurd. I
installed the new version of Hurd in hopes of clearing the problem.
