It's hard to say, as we (as in: hurd developers) have not done it yet,
so we don't know how much work that can mean.

I know, as I said I took that version because it is what upstream DDE
supports.  Other versions could be tried, I just prefered to keep the
safe bet of using the version that upstream DDE has well tested.

Linux 2.6.29 does not have a stable branch upstream, so it most probably
misses such updates. Maybe we can give a try at 2.6.32, which is still
being updated, and shouldn't be too far from 2.6.29 and thus mean little
work.
