installation issues report

Hi all,

i've just installed Hurd with a debian installer 'netinst' image
(20111016) and i've noticed a couple of issues:

- although /run exists /run/lock was missing. Aptitude complained lock
file was missing.

I don't know which package is responsible for creating this path. I did
it manually for now.

- after launching the 'new' console with:
~# console -d vga -d pc_kbd --repeat=kbd -d pc_mouse --repeat=mouse \
        -d generic_speaker -c /dev/vcs

i'm only able to start X with the root user.
When i try to do it with a normal user i get:

X: unable to determine if running on a console
X: user not authorized to run the X server, aborting

I am only allowed to start X as a normal user if i change (~# dpkg-reconfigure x11-common) 
to "anybody" who can start X instead of "Console Users Only".
