usb support still missing?

I remember reading USB was not supported by mach, and according to the
following page (2001, pretty old by the way):

http://www.nongnu.org/thug/gnumach_hardware.html#Miscellaneous

It states:

The Universal Serial Bus (USB) and all USB devices are NOT supported.

I have an USB disk with the repositories from debian unstable for
hurd-i386, repositories for the same architecture but from gnuab, and
also the Xorg packages gently made available by Samuel Thibault.

Now, are we still missing USB support on mach? If not, then is it
pulg-and-play managed? Do we need a package to plug in/out? If
there's no support still, then I'll have to keep a linux partition,
and a big disk space just to apt-mirrot what's on the USB disk into an
IDE partition in a regular basis, :-)

Thanks,
