I have seen this error too when I used OSKIT mach.  Sometimes I could
compile a working kernel and sometimes the kernels did this.  I never
figured out what it was.  I think you can better use the GNU Mach
branch gnumach-1-branch.  It is still under development and it works
much better for most people.
