console translator set without encoding

Hello!

I tried to get the console working with Unicode in Dbian Hurd. It took 
me quite a time to find out that /dev/vcs was set without encoding:

# showtrans /dev/vcs
/hurd/console

Unicode did not work until i set it to
/hurd/console --encoding=UTF-8
via
settrans /dev/vcs /hurd/console --encoding=UTF-8

The rest is working very well. I followed the instructions at
http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/Hurd/HurdConsole
