Ugh... that's not good (IMHO).

So let's happily change $HOME to $HEIM, $SHELL to $SCHALE,
$DISPLAY to $ANZEIGEGERAET (or should I use Umlauts?):

  umg $HEIM=/heim/michael xterm --anzeigegeraet=blah.bloh.com:0.0

Oh, and while we're at it:
  s/ls/zv/g                    # zv: zeige verzeichnis
  s/pwd/dav/g                  # dv: drucke arbeitsverzeichnis
                               # or, wbi (wo bin ich?)
  s/emacs/emaks/g              # editor ma_k_ros
  s/s/e/g;                     # s(ubstitute) -> e(rsetze)
                               # (a whole new regexp syntax!!!)
