I'm running the a similiar setup K-4 CD with X from J2. My mouse was setup with 'settrans -c /dev/mouse /hurd/mouse --protocol=ps/2 and all is working. I'm even using a agp matrox card thats giving me 32 bit color. Also a fvwm95 window manager.
