Pratical questions

Hi...

Some questions:

- I'haven"t found all the header file in /include/rpcsvc,
if someone know why ??

- I want to compile hurd 20020523 (it's a fresh install)
and gcc complain about:
./../libthreads/lockfile.c
../../libthreads/lockfile.c:48: alias arg not a string
../../libthreads/lockfile.c:49: alias arg not a string
../../libthreads/lockfile.c:50: alias arg not a string
../../libthreads/lockfile.c:55: alias arg not a string
../../libthreads/lockfile.c:56: alias arg not a string
../../libthreads/lockfile.c:57: alias arg not a string
(I use gcc-3.1_3.1-1_hurd-i386.deb, cpp-3.1_3.1-1_hurd-i386.deb,
and binutils_2.12.90.0.7-1_hurd-i386.deb from alpha.gnu.org)
I had previously (with libc0.2) some similar problems and i have found
that some versions of binutils aren't happy.

- Another thing, emacs in alpha.gnu.org is compiled against
libungif4 but the dependency don't mention it. Emacs don't work, even
with
libungif. I think some libraries use libc0.2.

- Xfree (from alpha.gnu.org) dosen't work for user,
if I use in Xwrapper.config 'allowed_users=console'.
But if I use 'anybody', => in the log, I find
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/xkbcomp: error while loading shared libraries:
libXext.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap.
I have exported LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Help...

- `ps Ax` show the passwd used by ftpfs
if somoeone know how use ftpfs without showing passwd ?
Someone had previously spoken about that here, but I can't remember
and I don't want to search in archives.

		Thanks for responses.

PS : The Hurd become really exciting since this ABI change (io).
I can now really study it. I had begin by libtrivfs. Any suggestion ?

PS2 : If someone want a modified gnumach for use with french keyboard,
i can send a patch (symbol in the file i386/i386at/kd.c), I know that
it's an awful hack but actually preferable.
