settrans -cap /alpha /hurd/ftpfs alpha.gnu.org:/

I think.

(this latter might be wrong.  Try "/hurd/ftpfs / admin@xxxx@mudhoney.cms.local"
instead)

Also check out /hurd/ftpfs --help
