I've had a couple people tell me "The Hurd doesn't use PAM" - I'm wondering if someone could enlighten me as to what they mean. AFAIK PAM is simply an outside library of authentication calls that can be used instead of the native ones in Glibc. I have been building the 'pam' package, and plan to soon start adding some of the authentication modules. Have I missed something? =) Tks, Jeff Bailey
